The US Arizona Senate Finance Committee passed a bill on January 27th, by a vote of 5 to 2, to use state public funds to invest in cryptocurrencies like BTC. The bill proposes allocating up to 10% of state public funds to invest in cryptocurrencies like BTC. Arizona is the first state to pass such a bill, and it may encourage other states to follow suit. The Arizona Public Safety Personnel Retirement System (PSPRS) currently holds assets worth over $20 billion, and if 10% of that is invested in BTC, it would bring about $2 billion in buying power, equivalent to about 20,000 BTC. According to Dennis Porter, the CEO and co-founder of SatoshiActFund, at least 15 states in the US will introduce 'Strategic Bitcoin Reserve' legislation, and maybe even 16. This number was zero just three months ago.
