Odaily Planet Daily News ETH Workshop L2 network Taiko is teaming up with the global geek movement platform DoraHacks to set standards for community voting and provide the largest scale of anonymous community voting for a hackathon. Taiko's Grant Factory hackathon encourages developers to design projects that focus on providing innovative solutions, creating engaging and interesting applications, or generating positive social impact. After months of competition, the finalists will enter the final round of voting, marking a step towards larger community-driven decisions. The Minimal Anti-Collusion Infrastructure (MACI) was initially proposed by Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum (ETH), as a mechanism to provide privacy and anti-collusion voting in a community environment. Concerns about obstacles in traditional voting systems, such as fraud, collusion, and lack of privacy, prompted him to propose a way to address these issues on-chain. MACI uses zero-knowledge technology to ensure that voting remains confidential, while maintaining integrity and preventing bribery or coercion. In the MACI round, there are two roles, operators and users. Users vote on-chain to the MACI smart contract through encrypted voting. These votes are timestamped on-chain, and only operators can see their votes and will publish the results after the voting is completed. Taiko's Chief Community Officer, Ben Wan, said, 'Taiko is committed to advancing decentralization at all levels. We are delighted to see this reflected in the final round of voting at the hackathon. The enthusiasm from the community in contributing to and supporting Taiko's development has left a deep impression on us, and we look forward to supporting the winner in building a truly decentralized future for Ethereum.'
