ChainCatcher News, Jordan Fish (Cobie), the founder of the community fundraising platform Echo, accuses some VCs of pressuring the encryption project to prevent it from offering discounted prices to Echo investors, and even opposing community sales in some cases unless it is in later rounds with high valuations. Matt OConnor, co-founder of the Legion platform, said that some VCs advocate avoiding public sales and oppose discounted valuations and short-term vesting periods. He specifically mentioned that VCs have no problem with team airdropping unlocked tokens, but they would object if the team sells some unlocked tokens.
