CoinVoice recently learned that Immunefi reported that the crypto hack in April 2025 caused DeFi platforms to lose $92 million, an increase of 124% from $41 million in March. Among them, the open-source platform UPCX suffered an attack of more than 70 million US dollars, which was the largest incident of the month; KiloEx was hacked and lost $7.5 million, after which the hackers returned the entire funds.

The report indicates that all attacks in April targeted DeFi platforms, and centralized exchanges reported no security incidents. As of the end of April, the cumulative losses from encryption hacker attacks in 2025 have reached 1.7 billion dollars, exceeding the total of 1.49 billion dollars for the entire year of 2024.

Mitchell Amador, founder of Immunefi, stated that state-sponsored Hacker groups pose a major threat and recommended that protocols adopt a "zero trust" architecture to enhance security protection.
