Ether could increase by 65% from the 'cycle bottom' as BlackRock's ETH reserves exceed 1 billion USD.

Ether (ETH), the native token of Ethereum, has lost half of its value over the past three months, plummeting from $4,100 in December 2024 to a low of around $1,750 in March 2025. However, ETH is currently facing a strong recovery opportunity.

ETH forecast to increase by 65% in June

Technically, the price of Ether is showing potential breakout signals as it tests the long-term support area. In the past, each time it touched this multi-year support zone, ETH recorded strong rallies – notably a rise of over 2,000% and 360% in previous cycles.

The price level of $3,400 coincides with the lower boundary of the current downtrend channel, serving as an important resistance area.

BlackRock's cryptocurrency fund holds over $1 billion in ETH

The price increase prospects of Ether emerge as institutional confidence in Ethereum grows stronger.

According to data from Token Terminal, BlackRock's BUIDL fund is currently holding approximately 1.145 billion USD in ETH – up from around 990 million USD just a week ago.

Despite allocations to chains like Avalanche, Polygon, Aptos, Arbitrum, and Optimism, Ethereum remains the main focus.

BlackRock's continued addition of ETH demonstrates the growing confidence of institutions in Ethereum's role as a leading platform for asset tokenization.

Ethereum whales increase accumulation

The price increase of Ethereum coincides with a strong surge in accumulation activity from large investors.

The latest on-chain data from Nansen shows that as of March 12, 2024, the number of ETH held by addresses owning between 1,000 and 10,000 ETH has increased by 5.65%, while the group of addresses holding between 10,000 and 100,000 ETH has increased by 28.73%.
