Yesterday, the Central Bank of Russia, which approved Bitcoin and cryptocurrency purchases, issued a warning today.

Deputy Governor of the Bank of Russia, Vladimir Chistyukhin, who attended the Financial Markets Forum held in Moscow, made statements about cryptocurrency transactions.

Cistyukhin, who warns investors about crypto transactions, finds all transactions with cryptocurrencies very risky and states that these transactions are in a 'gray area' in terms of security.

Chistyukhin emphasized the need to protect inexperienced investors in cryptocurrencies and added that they are working on establishing processes for transactions with cryptocurrencies to be defined by a specific legislation.

"We believe that trading and investing in cryptocurrencies is a highly risky activity and that inexperienced investors should be protected as much as possible from such activities."

Chistyukhin stated that Russian infrastructure will be used for transactions involving cryptocurrencies in the regulations.

As Russian Central Bank announced that it will allow investors to buy cryptocurrency in a limited manner. Accordingly, it was stated that only specifically qualified individual investors, institutional qualified investors, and financial institutions will be eligible to transact with cryptocurrencies.
