Mexican billionaire Ricardo Salinas revealed that he has allocated a large part of his investment portfolio to Bitcoin (BTC) and gold.

Ricardo Salinas, one of the country's richest businessmen with a fortune of 5.8 billion dollars, is known for his support for Bitcoin. The billionaire, who has repeatedly emphasized the importance of cryptocurrency in the financial system in the past, stated four years ago that he aimed to make his bank the first bank in Mexico to accept Bitcoin.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Salinas stated that **70% of his investment portfolio is related to Bitcoin assets, while 30% is allocated to gold and gold mining companies. The Mexican businessman used the expression I have no bonds at all and I don't have any other shares except my own companies.

Salinas' Bitcoin investment showed an increase of approximately 4 times compared to the 10% rate he announced in 2020. These statements came amid the billionaire's plans to withdraw Grupo Elektra from the stock exchange and his tax and legal disputes with the Mexican government.

**Salinas' strong dedication to Bitcoin once again highlighted the increasing interest of institutional investors and large capitals in the cryptocurrency market.
