After the disclosure of the US Strategic Cryptocurrency Reserve, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse spoke for the first time about (XRP).

In a groundbreaking move for the cryptocurrency industry, U.S. President Donald Trump has announced the creation of a Crypto Strategic Reserve, which includes Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP, and Cardano (ADA).

The announcement via social media triggered a sudden surge in the digital asset market, with major cryptocurrencies experiencing significant price increases.

Following the announcement, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse emphasized the importance of collaboration in the crypto sector and expressed his support for the initiative. In his statement, Garlinghouse said the following:

"I have said this before, if we work together, the crypto industry will reach our goals and beyond (. I appreciate Crypto President Donald Trump's vision of a state digital asset reserve representing the sector."

Garlinghouse also had the opportunity to criticize the previous administration, especially the regulatory attitude of the SEC under the leadership of the Biden administration:

"Maximalism is the enemy of the industry's progress. I am pleased to see the President acknowledging that we live in a multi-chain world and that we have finally left behind the very flawed thinking of Bill Hinman and the SEC of the Biden administration."

In this statement, Garlinghouse also criticized those who want only Bitcoin in the strategic reserve.

Ripple CEO also revealed plans to advocate for the industry in Washington and said the following:

“I will definitely continue to defend this while in Washington this weekend.”

On Friday, a major cryptocurrency summit will be held at the White House, which will be attended by Donald Trump.
