The strategy reinforces its ambition by purchasing a large amount of Bitcoin
The company continues its accumulation strategy by buying back 7.633 bitcoins at a price of 742.4 million dollars, bringing the total to 478,740 BTC. This large transaction comes after a temporary halt in the company's buying spree led by Michael Saylor. A new Bitcoin acquisition strategy Strategy, formerly known as MicroStrategy, has just completed a major new bitcoin purchase. The company bought 7,633 BTC at a price of $97,255 per BTC, totaling $742.4 million. Michael Saylor, CEO of the company, announced this news, as usual, on social media X. The day before, he made a suggestion by posting a cryptic message: 'Death to the blue lines. Green dots forever', accompanied by a chart tracking his traditional bitcoin purchases. With this latest acquisition, Strategy now holds 478,740 BTC. This is the largest bitcoin treasury of any company in the world. On average, Strategy has paid $65,033 per bitcoin. This strong investment strategy reflects Michael Saylor's deep belief in the future of bitcoin. A thoughtful investment although the results may vary The recent acquisition took place just a few days after the announcement of the fourth quarter financial results, showing a net loss of $3.03 per share. Despite these disappointing figures, Strategy continues its strong bitcoin accumulation strategy. The funding for this purchase comes from the sale of shares and the issuance of perpetual preferred shares of Strike (STRK), as detailed in the company's 8-K filing. The strategy has demonstrated a 4.1% BTC return since the beginning of 2025, proving the company's investment strategy's ability to recover. Therefore, the company is consolidating its position in the cryptocurrency market, with a total investment in bitcoin of around 31.1 billion dollars. This recent acquisition reaffirms Strategy's long-term vision and the company's strong confidence in the future of bitcoin, despite market fluctuations.
