SEC narrows down the group of 50 members executing digital currency

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is believed to be downsizing its cryptocurrency enforcement group, with over 50 members specializing in overseeing regulatory challenges in the cryptocurrency field. According to sources from the New York Times, members of the group are being reassigned to other divisions of the SEC, with some top lawyers leaving the unit. This change comes after SEC commissioner Hester Peirce outlined the regulator's new plans for regulating cryptocurrencies
