NVIDIA (NVIDIA) has become one of the most influential technology companies in the world in recent years, almost completely dominating the core of the current AI revolution. CEO Jensen Huang (Jensen Huang) stated in an interview on 1/28 that NVIDIA has reinvented the computing model, and AI will be ubiquitous, with everything that can move existing in the form of robots in the future.
The rise of NVIDIA, from games to robots
Huang said that Huida's early success came from a unique insight into parallel computing (Parallel Computing). He recalls that in the '90s, Huida discovered that in a software program, only 10% of the code performed 99% of the calculations. This part of the computation can run at the same time, but the traditional CPU can only execute instructions like a "dragon" and cannot be parallel. In turn, Huida created a graphics processor (GPU) that allows multiple operations to be performed simultaneously.
Huang Renxun explained that due to the love for the virtual world and the considerable size of the gaming market, Nvidia was willing to invest a large amount of money in research and development. He added that at the time, game developers hoped to create more realistic 3D visuals, but traditional hardware could not support a large amount of real-time computing. Nvidia's GPU technology not only successfully solved this problem, but also made Nvidia the technical leader in the gaming industry.
