Cryptocurrency Market Shakes: Bitcoin Plunges as Trump Sparks War

At the beginning of the trading week in Asia, major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and XRP all experienced significant declines. By mid-morning Hong Kong time, BTC had fallen by 8%, trading at $93,100, according to data from CoinDesk Indices.

Meanwhile, ETH dropped nearly 20%, trading at $2,500; SOL decreased by 13% to $184; and XRP plunged 28%, trading at $2. The CoinDesk 20 index (CD20), which includes the largest digital assets, declined by almost 17%. Trump's memecoin (TRUMP) also dropped by 12%.
