Following a series of product launches, the OpenAI team held a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) event last Friday to answer various questions from global users. Researchers, engineers, and executives, including OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, participated in the Q&A, covering popular topics such as AI Open Source strategy, the impact of competitor DeepSeek, future product plans, and AI self-improvement.
OpenAI faces challenges: competition pressure and financing plans
Technology media TechCrunch analyzes that OpenAI is currently in a delicate market position. On the one hand, it is striving to maintain its leading position in the global AI competition, facing competition pressure from Chinese AI company DeepSeek, and even accusing the latter of possible intellectual property (IP) theft. On the other hand, OpenAI is also actively building relationships with Washington, while promoting a large-scale data center project and reportedly preparing for one of the largest financing in history.
