Abstract generation in progress

The official X (Twitter) account of the world-renowned TIME magazine, was hacked on Thursday and used to promote a fake Solana-based cryptocurrency.

Attackers have managed to temporarily raise the price of the fake token by deceiving people, as of TIME. However, former TIME president Keith A. Grossman quickly intervened and confirmed that the account was hacked, warning his followers not to buy this token.

Crypto Fraud on the Rise in X!

These types of attacks are becoming increasingly common on the X platform. Famous figures and major brands are frequently targeted by crypto scammers. Last week, Breaking Bad star Dean Norris' account was hacked for a fake meme coin promotion. Not long ago, rap superstar Drake's account fell into the hands of crypto scammers.

Even a major media organization like TIME magazine being targeted by this attack highlighted the security vulnerabilities at X once again.
