$XRP Increases, $DOGE Decreases: Weiss Crypto Announces First Ranking in 2025
XRP, the core native cryptocurrency of the XRPL blockchain, marks a new milestone as Weiss Crypto Rating awards it a "B+" label. XRP benefits from the positive outcome of the legal battle between Ripple and the SEC, speculations about its position in the assumed strategic cryptocurrency reserves of the United States, and the general optimism about cryptocurrencies. XRP Becomes the Only Large-Cap Company to Skyrocket in Weiss Crypto Rating The XRP cryptocurrency is rated "B+" in the Weiss Crypto Rating, a monthly assessment by the veteran digital asset management company. XRP is the largest cryptocurrency in the first 2025 update of the Weiss Crypto Rating, where its rating is elevated, data shows.
In the "B+" category, Ripple-linked heavyweight is accompanied by Algorand (ALGO) and Avalanche (AVAX), two popular smart contract platforms. Only three cryptocurrencies — Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Cardano (ADA) — are ranked in the "A-" zone. BitTorrent (BTT) is the only medium-cap cryptocurrency that Weiss Crypto analysts have promoted. Furthermore, AerGo (AERGO), Ark (ARK), and Orbs (ORBS) have also seen their positions transferred to better-performing portfolios. XRP has turned around to jump into the elite group thanks to the 'A' grade in the market performance indicator. Over the past seven days, the price of XRP has increased by more than 35%. XRP is the only cryptocurrency with an 'A' grade performance, while Cardano (ADA) and Algorand (ALGO) received an 'A-' grade. Ethereum (ETH) is the only cryptocurrency rated "A" for technology/adoption index. Dogecoin (DOGE), Toncoin (TON), Tron (TRX) Lost Position Despite the prevailing optimism in the cryptocurrency sector, some popular altcoins have been downgraded in January 2025. The cryptocurrencies Dogecoin (DOGE), Celestia (TIA), and Render (RNDR) have lost their positions, but still remain in the "B" range.
