Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty had dinner with Trump at the Hualin Lake Resort on January 8th. They announced this news on the X community Twitter account, which is seen as Ripple's appeal to Trump regarding cryptocurrency regulatory policies. This meeting came shortly after Ripple's legal victory against the US SEC, which ruled that XRP is not a security. This victory has raised higher expectations for the listing of XRP as a Spot ETF in the community.
The CEO of Ripple stated that with Trump's return to the White House and the bullish market effect brought by Trump-related topics, the company is gradually shifting its focus back to the United States, bringing more job opportunities. He pointed out that 75% of the positions are open domestically in the United States, a departure from the strategy of expanding overseas markets in the past few years due to SEC pressure.
Meanwhile, Ripple has also discussed with political and blockchain leaders such as Senator Cynthia Lummis and future SEC chairman Paul Atkins on how to reform regulatory frameworks to support digital asset innovation. Its excellent government relations have also contributed to its impressive price performance, making it one of the best-performing cryptocurrencies in terms of market capitalization growth. XRP even surpassed USDT at one point to become the third largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, making it one of the key concept tokens for loosening regulations under the Trump administration.
