Ethena is preparing to launch a new product next month, iUSDe. According to the company's statements, this product will enable issuing sUSDe with regulated offers to traditional financial institutions.

iUSDe will have the same functionality as Ethena's existing stablecoin product sUSDe. However, this new product will be equipped with a simple 'wrapper contract' that adds transfer restrictions at the token level. This feature will enable traditional financial institutions to use iUSDe in a legal and regulated manner.

Innovative solutions for traditional finance

Ethena is collaborating with various business partners to facilitate the use of iUSDe in the traditional financial world.

The company plans to announce partners who will take over the distribution of iUSDe for the traditional finance sector within this month. In the first quarter of 2025, Ethena's main goal will be to make iUSDe available in the traditional finance world through collaboration with these business partners. In this context, it is planned to work with a wide range of financial institutions such as asset managers, private credit funds, stock investment products, private investment trusts, and primary brokers.

Came to the agenda with BlackRock fund

Ethena is not only notable for iUSDe, but also for another product it launched last month, USDTb, supported by BlackRock BUIDL collateral. USDTb functions as a standard stablecoin for end users. However, this product is designed to provide economic incentives through a revenue-sharing model with distribution partners, similar to centralized exchanges.

Throughout January, integrations of USDTb on centralized exchanges will be announced. This will enable these platforms to offer their users Ethena's range of dollar-based products.

Statements made by the Ethena team resulted in a approximately 10% increase in the price of ENA within one hour.
