El Salvador, which made history by adopting Bitcoin as a legal tender, is setting an example for other countries with this move, and it has been in the spotlight recently with its agreement with the IMF.

According to CNN's report, it is stated that El Salvador President Nayib Bukele plans to travel to Russia in the new year and that Bitcoin will be an important part of these negotiations.

Experts said that while it is not yet clear when the meeting will take place, at this early stage, this visit will largely depend on the political landscape, especially the stance of the United States, under the administration of elected President Donald Trump, regarding Russia.

The First Secretary of the Embassy of Russia in Nicaragua and the Chief of the Office in El Salvador, Aleksandr Ilyukhin, confirmed that discussions regarding the visit are ongoing, and both sides are optimistic about the discussions. However, he mentioned that the approval will depend on several factors, especially the political climate after the possible return of Trump to power.
