Trump appoints American football player Hines, former A16z partner, and AI encryption czar Sacks to collaborate, focusing on the future of AI and encryption

US President-elect Trump announced on 12/23 on his own social platform Truth Social that former American football player and Republican political rising star Bo Hines will serve as the executive director of Trump's encryption committee, and Sriram Krishnan, a former partner at the well-known US venture capital firm a16z, will serve as the White House's AI technology policy advisor. The two will work hand in hand with AI encryption mogul David Sacks to jointly promote innovation and development in the digital asset and technology fields in the United States.

The cross-border new star of politics and sports Bo Hines

Bo Hines, a former college American football player, ran for Congress in North Carolina's 13th district in 2022. Due to his support for encryption currencies, he attracted attention from many professionals in the industry and received political donations from the Political Action Committee (PAC) supporting encryption currencies and former FTX executive Ryan Salame. Although he received the Republican nomination and support from industry professionals, he was ultimately defeated by the Democratic candidate Wiley Nickel.

Hines ran again in the same district this year but failed to win the Republican nomination, ranking fourth with 14.4% of the vote. In the end, Republican candidate Addison McDowell won the election with 69.2% of the vote in the district.

Hines's re-election this year fell short of expectations. Hines will collaborate with Sacks in the future.

Trump said in a post, 'Hines will work with Sacks to promote innovation and development in the field of digital assets in the United States, ensuring that industry leaders have the resources they need. The two will work together to create an environment for the flourishing development of this industry, making it the cornerstone of national technological progress.'

Trump expressed on his own platform, Truth Social.

Hines also responded on Twitter to thank Trump, saying he was honored to serve the country and looking forward to working with Sacks to promote innovation and development in the digital field of the United States.

Former a16z partner Krishnan was invited to serve as a White House AI policy advisor

In the content of Trump's post, there is also a special message, that is, Sriram Krishnan, the former partner of the well-known American venture capital a16z, was invited to serve as a White House AI technology policy advisor.

Krishnan's experience can be said to be quite rich. He was previously one of the founders of Microsoft's cloud computing platform Windows Azure, and has also been involved in the development of Meta's Audience Network product and served as a core executive at Twitter. Due to his extensive experience in the technology industry, he was personally appointed by Trump as a senior AI policy advisor to the White House.

Trump congratulated Sriram Krishnan on being appointed as White House AI Technology Policy Advisor.

At the same time, Krishnan also tweeted his thanks to Trump for the opportunity to serve the country.

Krishnan thanks Trump for the post.
