WalletConnect Season 1 airdrop begins

In September this year, WalletConnect, a Web3 communication protocol that connects encryption wallets with decentralized applications (dApps), announced the launch of its native token $WCT (Connect Token) on the Optimism Mainnet, and plans to conduct Season 1 $WCT Token Airdrop for active users.

WalletConnect stated in the announcement that $WCT is the key to the WalletConnect network economy and governance structure, with an initial supply of 1 billion tokens, of which 18.5% (185 million tokens) will be allocated to multiple airdrop seasons for rewarding contributors and user participation.

It should be noted that the $WCT Token will be in a 'non-tradable' state after being acquired. The transfer function of future tokens will be determined by community governance.
