PANews reported on April 14 that, according to CCTV News, Iran's official news agency IRNA, citing sources familiar with the matter, reported that Iran launched the first batch of ballistic missiles at Israeli targets. Previously, Iran had launched dozens of suicide drones into Israel. In addition to Iran proper, drones have been launched at Israel from multiple locations. This information has already been officially confirmed by Iran, Israel and the United States. Israel, Iraq and Jordan have closed their airspace to all flights. The Israeli military said that Israel's defenses are ready to respond, planning to intercept the drone with the help of the United States. The United States, for its part, reaffirmed its "rock-solid" support for Israel's security. After the escalation of the situation, cryptocurrencies dived, with Bitcoin falling below $62,000 and Ethereum falling below $2,900 at one point.
