Shen Yu, co-founder of Cobo and f2pool, weighed in on the future of Bitcoin at the Web3 Festival in Hong Kong.
Shen Yu said that it is a "conservative" forecast for the price of Bitcoin to reach $1.5 million by 2030. Bitcoin is trading at just over $71K at the time of writing.
The founder of F2pool thinks that Bitcoin will explode with various large-scale applications in a few cycles in the coming years, and that this will appeal to large financial institutions.
With a market cap of $1.3 trillion today, Bitcoin would need to reach a market cap of more than $27 trillion to reach the $1.5 million target.
