Senators Harshly Criticize SEC Over Cryptocurrency Decision - Coin Bulletin

A group of U.S. senators have sent a letter to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) criticizing the agency's conduct in a cryptocurrency lawsuit.

At the end of last year, Judge Robert Shelby accused the SEC of using deceptive statements in a lawsuit against a cryptocurrency company called DEBT Box.

In their letter to the SEC, the senators wrote: "The public should be able to trust the Commission's moves, why it did them, and its professionalism in doing so. Trust has been undermined and your mission has been compromised." *Said.

SEC lawyers apologized to the court after the judge's decision.

"It is incomprehensible that any federal agency would operate in such an unethical and unprofessional manner," the senators said. * and emphasized that other lawsuits filed by the SEC may also need to be investigated.
