Chinese man who defrauded investors of $6.3 billion bought Bitcoin and fled

In the UK, a lawsuit has begun in which more than 128,000 people were allegedly defrauded between 2014 and 2017 and money laundering was carried out by collecting $6.3 billion and buying Bitcoin.

According to the Financial Times, a person named Jian Wen laundered money on behalf of a fraudster named Yadi Zhang and even carried out some fraudulent activities. It was stated that Zhang obtained a total of 6.3 billion dollars in this activity carried out in China under the name of investment management.

Then he changed it to Bitcoin, still wanted

Zhang, who managed to convert the money he obtained into Bitcoin and come to London, England in 2017 with a fake identity, is still wanted by both the British and Chinese authorities.

Jian Wen, who is currently in court, is said to have ensured that the money was converted into Bitcoin, rather than participating in Zhang's scams.

However, prosecutors say that Wen lived a very modest life before she met Zhang, but after she stayed with him, she started living in a large 6-room house.

The trial is expected to conclude in March.
