Ethereum Price Exceeds $2,000, $2,250 Next Resistance As Bulls Take Over Crypto Market ETH started to rise after XRP rallied more than 50%. The price broke the key resistance at $1,890. Many altcoins, including MATIC, SOL, BNB, and ADA, have risen sharply over the past few hours. There was also a break above a key contracting triangle with resistance near $1,885 on the hourly chart of ETH/USD. The pair is up more than 7% and even broke the $2,000 resistance. A high was formed near $2,027 and the price is currently consolidating gains. Ethereum is trading above $1,980 and the 100 hourly simple moving average. Besides, it is well above the 23.6% Fib retracement level of the upward move from the $1,865 low to $2,027 high. On the upside, an immediate resistance is near $2,025. The first major resistance is near the $2,050 zone, where the price could rally towards the $2,120 resistance area. The next major resistance is near $2,200. If it rises further, ether could rise towards the $2,250 or even $2,350 resistance. If Ethereum fails to break the $2,025 resistance, it could start a downside correction. Initial support on the downside is near $2,000. The first major support is near $1,980, below which the price could test $1,945. It is near the 50% Fib retracement level of the upward move from the $1,865 low to $2,027 high. The next major support is near $1,905.
