What is a major coin?
What is a major coin? Major coin is the name given to the most traded cryptocurrencies with large market capitalizations and worldwide. Therefore, they are the first names that come to mind when it comes to investment.
Although there are countless cryptocurrencies in the crypto money market, some cryptocurrencies stand out in terms of their transaction volume and awareness. Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) are at the top of the list, both as the first cryptocurrencies and as the two largest major cryptocurrencies with their transaction volumes.
It should be noted that it would not be correct to consider all the old cryptocurrencies in the market as major coins.
For example, Dogecoin (DOGE) qualifies as a major coin even though it is a relatively new cryptocurrency compared to Bitcoin and Ethereum. Tesla CEO Elon Musk has a huge influence on Dogecoin. Therefore, it is a positive factor in this direction that the big names in the industry support cryptocurrencies.
In short, for a digital asset to be considered a major coin
* Must host high market value
*Known in the cryptocurrency industry and should be on the agenda often
