Ethereum’s neutrality is at risk due to centralization among block builders. Vitalik Buterin proposes FOCIL (Fork-Choice Enforced Inclusion Lists) as a solution.
-> What is FOCIL?
Multiple proposers per slot, not just one.
Main proposer sets order, others guarantee mandatory inclusion of transactions.
Goal: Stop censorship & strengthen Ethereum’s resilience.
⚠️ But there’s a catch
Legal risk: US validators might be forced to include sanctioned transactions (e.g., Tornado Cash).
Could expose validators & devs to lawsuits.
