Ethereum (ETH) Price Prediction: A Giant Whale Sells 33,582 Tokens, Sharplink Increases Boost Buying Confidence Today (9) Morning Asia, Ethereum (ETH) followed the broader market rebound, tentatively trading at $2,621. A giant whale sold 33,582 ETH in the early morning to exchange for 85.38 million USDC stablecoins. But SharpLink's announcement of the acquisition of 7,689 ETH, bringing its total holdings to over 205,000 ETH, boosted buying confidence. According to Onchain Lens monitoring, a whale/institution that previously made a profit of $30 million on ETH sold 33,582 ETH at an average price of $2,512 in the early morning, exchanged for 85.38 million USDC and deposited into Aave V3. The whale still holds 100,000 ETH (worth $261.2 million), which is staked on the Lido platform. Nasdaq-listed SharpLink Gaming said it bought 7,689 ETH at an average price of $2,501 per ETH last week. During this period, the company said it sold 5.49 million ETH through its market-to-market (ATM) instrument, raising $64 million, of which $37.2 million will be used to buy more ETH. SharpLink also said that its staking rewards have increased to 322 ETH, with another 100 ETH last week. As a result, its total asset holdings have increased to 205,634 ETH and claims that these funds are fully deployed in staking and re-staking protocols. According to Google Finance data, after SharpLink announced the acquisition of ETH, investors rushed to buy it, and its stock SBET soared more than 28% to close the day at $16.29. The company began buying ETH in early June, following a $425 million private placement led by Consensys, where Consensys CEO Joseph Lubin later became chairman of SharpLink. BTCS, another Nasdaq-listed ETH money management company, also plans to raise $100 million in 2025 through ATM stock offerings, convertible bond offerings, borrowing from DeFi lending protocol Aave, and generating income through staking and block building. In a press release on Tuesday, the company said the sophisticated strategy allowed it to increase the value of shareholders' ETH per share "while minimizing dilution." This development comes amid growing interest in ETH Treasuries by smaller publicly traded companies, especially around tokenization and the GENIUS stablecoin bill that the House of Representatives will vote on next week. Bit Digital (BTBT) announced on Monday that it had an inventory balance of 100,603 ETH after the company increased its holdings of ETH from the sale of 280 BTC and the $172 million offering. BitMine (BMNR) is also raising $250 million to launch a similar ETH inventory program. These companies are following in the footsteps of business intelligence software firm Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy), which began accumulating Bitcoin in 2020. The company has since increased its crypto vault to 597,325 BTC, which is about 2.8% of Bitcoin's total supply. Ethereum price analysis FXStreet analyst Michael Ebiekutan said that after ETH rebounded near the key $2,510 level, it is forming strong support near $2,500 and is strengthened by the dynamic support of the 200-day simple moving average (SMA). On-chain data also shows that $2,500 is one of the most significant areas for ETH to increase holdings in recent months, with investors buying more than 3.45 million ETH between $2,513 and $2,536, according to Glassnode. If ETH continues to hold the $2,500 support as it approaches the apex of the key symmetrical triangle, it could bounce back to test the resistance near $2,850 that it has been in since February 4th. On the downside, if ETH loses the $2,500 support level, it could test the lower border of the symmetrical triangle. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) and Stochastic Oscillator (Stoch) are sloping slightly upwards above their neutral levels, indicating a slight dominance of bullish momentum.
