The United States has lifted restrictions on the export of chip design software to China, and Synopsys has confirmed the policy change with Cadence.

According to Gate News bot and a report by CNBC, chip software manufacturer Synopsys has confirmed that the U.S. government has lifted the export restrictions on chip design software to China.

The peer company Cadence also confirmed the policy adjustment and stated that it has begun "restoring affected customers' access to our software and technology."

On May 23, the United States issued a notice to several chip design software companies, requiring them to obtain licenses before exporting software and semiconductor chemicals and other goods to China.
