A Technology Company Listed on Nasdaq Plans to Purchase $50 Million Worth of This Altcoin!

Digital ophthalmic technology company Eyenovia announced that it has signed a $50 million private equity investment agreement (PIPE) with institutional investors.

The company plans to create a cryptocurrency reserve by purchasing the native token of the Hyperliquid blockchain, HYPE, with this fund and changing the company's name to "Hyperion DeFi." The new stock symbol will be "HYPD."

Eyenovia also appointed Hyunsu Jung as Investment Director (CIO) and Board Member to lead its cryptocurrency treasury strategy.

According to the company's press release, investors will be offered 15.4 million shares of preferred stock that can be converted at a price of $3.25 per share and approximately 30.8 million purchase warrants at the same price, as part of this $50 million investment. If all warrants are exercised, Eyenovia's total gross revenue could reach $150 million.

CEO Michael Rowe said, "We are pleased to be among the companies adopting this strategy to evaluate the diversification, liquidity, and long-term capital appreciation potential of cryptocurrencies. After reviewing all alternatives, we have decided that this step is the best for our shareholders."

The new Investment Director Jung stated, "I am honored to lead this pioneering crypto treasure strategy shaped around HYPE. We believe that Hyperliquid is one of the fastest-growing and highest-revenue-generating blockchains in the world."

With this agreement, Eyenovia aims to become one of the most active validators globally on the Hyperliquid network by purchasing over 1 million HYPE tokens. Additionally, a staking program will be implemented in collaboration with Anchorage Digital.
