The crypto analysis platform Alphractal has released its latest market assessment, highlighting that although investor expectations are rising, the altcoin season has not yet arrived. According to the platform's exclusive Altcoin Seasonal Index, the crypto market is still in the "Bitcoin season." Only new participants outperform BTC Alphractal's data shows that only a few altcoins, mainly newcomers to the crypto market, have outperformed Bitcoin in the past 60 days. Meanwhile, older altcoins continue to lag behind, failing to generate much momentum to rotate capital away from Bitcoin.

Visual analysis through the Bitcoin Position Index compared to altcoin shows the current dominance trend. The orange areas on the chart indicate Bitcoin's market control, while the blue areas suggest a shift towards altcoins. The neutral areas, with no signals, imply that the best strategy may be to avoid both sides at the current time. The Altcoin season may occur after Bitcoin pauses. Despite the current dominance of Bitcoin, Alphractal notes that market signals are beginning to change and a major altcoin season could officially emerge in the coming days. Historically, altcoins perform best when Bitcoin is sideways or enters a short-term downtrend, allowing capital to flow into riskier assets. However, currently Bitcoin is still king and traders are waiting for the breakout of altcoin which may need to be patient until the situation truly changes.
