The golden rain from TSMC has arrived! Que will teach you how to buy 2330 with discipline using the smile curve method.
Well-known investment expert Que You-Shang has been investing in TSMC since 2003. In his recent market analysis, he mentioned that TSMC faces two major "time bombs", including the challenges of setting up factories in the U.S. and the uncertainty of the global trade environment. Nevertheless, he remains optimistic about TSMC's long term competitiveness and believes that the current market correction is a "golden rain", suitable for long term investors to enter the market and position themselves. In the interview, he also shared how to buy with a "smile curve" to maintain discipline in investing amid market uncertainties.
Should we be worried if TSMC partners with Intel?
Professor Que You-shang pointed out that TSMC's upstream software technology is all in the United States. Although manufacturing is very strong, it cannot be produced without this software. Similarly, downstream companies like Apple and NVIDIA are also in the United States, so it's very easy for the U.S. to restrict TSMC, which is why TSMC has no choice but to go there.
However, Qiao also believes that according to the management system of American companies, it does not require the company secretary to enter the company like in China. It has its own rules of the game, which are different from those in China. Therefore, if TSMC really wants to enter a partnership, it must also be one of the conditions negotiated at that time. He believes that TSMC has assessed this carefully, and its corporate governance is very strict, so there is no need to worry too much about the issue of technology leakage.
Should we be worried about TSMC investing billions in the US?
Many investors are worried that TSMC is being asked to invest $165 billion in the US. Is this a negative signal? In fact, TSMC has 2 trillion New Taiwan Dollars (. I checked the financial statements and found that it indeed has 2.1 trillion New Taiwan Dollars, equivalent to $645 billion ) in cash on hand, and it does not need to rush to use it all up; these are all its chips.
( TSMC smashed a total of 165 billion magnesium into the United States! Trump: The United States will account for 40% of the global chip market, reducing ) dependence on Taiwan
The low point has not yet arrived, but we are on the way to catch the bottom.
When asked where the low point is, Teacher Que mentioned multiple times that "the pessimists are right, and the optimists profit." He said people love to predict where the points are, but most people find it difficult to predict accurately. He cited the previous example of TSMC dropping from 688 to 370, where many economists predicted correctly and got an A+, but they didn't make any money. Teacher Que's approach is to buy and let it drop, which is a completely different mindset.
Predicting these economic data has little significance; the focus is on mental quality and capital management. As long as these two are done correctly, there will be abundant rewards.
The golden rain has come down! How to catch it?
When recording the video, the stock price of TSMC was 848 yuan, and Teacher Que has already taken the lead to enter the market.
He suggested that investors adopt the smile curve, as it is uncertain where the low point lies. For example, first divide the price into three intervals:
800~848: Invest 20% of the capital
750~800: Invest 30% of funds
700~750: Invest 50% of the funds
However, if it bounces up without dropping to the assumed range, it is still necessary to chase it. This approach should not expect to buy at the lowest point, but rather to buy with discipline and then wait for the stock price to rise.
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), the national treasure, has recently found itself at the forefront of the tariff storm, with its stock price plummeting from 1,100 NTD at the beginning of January to 785 NTD at today's close, a decline of nearly 30%. However, Teacher Que You's expectation for TSMC remains unchanged, predicting it will reach 2,000 NTD before 2030. It all depends on whether investors have the confidence and funds to seize this golden opportunity alongside the teacher!
