BREAKING NEWS: Are Cold Winds Blowing Between Elon Musk and Donald Trump? It is Said That Musk May Be Removed From Office!
In a report first published by Politico, according to sources close to the White House, President Donald Trump privately informed his close circle that Elon Musk is expected to step back from his prominent role as a management partner and political figure in the administration.
The expected transition indicates a significant change in the relationships that previously positioned Musk as a key figure in the Trump administration's efforts to streamline government operations.
Despite Musk's impending departure from an active role, Trump continues to be pleased with the contributions he has made, particularly through the State Efficiency Office (DOGE) initiative. Three officials from the administration, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed that Trump and Musk have agreed that the billionaire entrepreneur will soon take on a more supportive and advisory role to focus on his business.
Musk's planned withdrawal came amid growing frustration over the unpredictable nature of Trump’s inner circle and external allies. After the Wisconsin Supreme Court elections on Tuesday, where the conservative candidate Musk openly supported lost by a 10-point margin, many view him as a political liability. Democrats framed Musk's financial involvement in the race, reported to be around 20 million dollars, as a referendum on Musk's controversial influence over the election results.
A senior administration official suggested that Musk would retain an informal advisory position and could continue to appear in the White House. Another insider official warned that anyone expecting Musk to completely disappear from Trump's political orbit is "fooling themselves."
Musk's transition process coincides with a period when it is expected that his status as a special government employee will end at the end of May or the beginning of June. This status temporarily exempted him from certain ethics and conflict of interest rules, allowing him to have a significant influence within the administration.
