He pointed out that creating a "strategic sovereign Bitcoin reserve" is an important issue that "concerns the public interest." Guerra described Bitcoin as the "gold of the internet," emphasizing its properties as a tool for transferring and storing global wealth. Previously, a member of the Brazilian Liberal Party submitted a new bill to Congress, proposing that the government allocate no more than 5% of its foreign exchange reserves to Bitcoin.
