MetaMask launches encryption debit card pilot in the United States, supporting adding to Apple Pay or Google Pay

ChainCatcher news, MetaMask announces the launch of an encryption debit card pilot program in the United States. The card supports spending at any merchant accepting Mastercard, and users can make payments using USDC, USDT, and WETH on the Linea network, and it also supports adding to Apple Pay or Google Pay. It is reported that MetaMask Card, developed in cooperation with MetaMask, Mastercard, and Baanx (Crypto Life), has been launched in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia. Unlike traditional encryption cards, the card operates in a debit card mode, allowing users to directly use encryption assets in their wallets without pre-loading funds into a third party, and only converting them at the time of payment. MetaMask has stated that it will expand to more regions in the coming months.
