Reuters survey: UK Central Bank is expected to keep the Interest Rate unchanged in December decision, and may cut it by 100 basis points next year.

The December 12th data from GoldenTen shows that all 71 economists surveyed between December 6th and 11th predicted that the Central Bank of the United Kingdom will maintain the benchmark Interest Rate at 4.75% during the meeting on December 19th. Among the economists who made forecasts for the Interest Rate outlook until the end of 2025, about 54% (36 out of 67 people) predicted a cut of 100 basis points by the end of next year, while 17 people predicted a cut of at least 125 basis points, and 14 people predicted a cut of up to 75 basis points.
