Kai Tuo Macro: Retail sales in the euro area may not continue to rise

On November 7th, Jinshi Data reported that Elias Hilmer from Capital Economics wrote in a report: "Eurozone shoppers are expected to continue to increase consumption, but only at a slow pace. Due to easing inflation, consumer confidence has been strengthened, and the rise in retail sales in September has brought a satisfactory end to a good quarter for Eurozone retailers." This means that sales throughout the third quarter have been accelerating, but this situation may not continue. He said, "We doubt whether retail sales can continue to rise so strongly, as the rise in actual income may slow down and consumer confidence remains quite low."
