Both sides consulted on bilateral relations and regional issues such as the Gaza ceasefire negotiations. Both parties emphasized the importance of ongoing efforts coordinated with the United States to reach an agreement that ensures an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, allows humanitarian aid to enter urgently and unimpeded, and ensures the release of detainees held by both Palestinians and Israelis. Both sides also expressed strong opposition to Israel's reoccupation of the Gaza Strip and any attempts to expel Palestinians from their homes.
