These groups believe that the Samourai Wallet simply assists people in conducting financial transactions online without violating U.S. law. Despite this, a federal judge rejected the amicus briefs from these groups this week. Earlier, the U.S. government shut down Samourai Wallet and arrested its developers, accusing the app of being an "unlicensed remittance business" used by criminals.
