Sun Yuchen supports Trump's friendly stance on encryption and refutes the bribery allegations against TRUMP.
According to Gate News bot, as reported by CoinDesk, after the TRUMP dinner concluded amid protests outside the White House, Sun Yuchen refuted allegations that TRUMP was a bribery tool during an interview. He called these skeptics "short-sighted" and believes that Trump's support for Crypto Assets could usher in a new era of innovation in American digital assets.
"All opponents should pay serious attention," said Sun Yuchen, who described Trump's support for crypto assets as one of the president's best decisions, "some positive things are happening in this industry."
He stated that the dinner clearly indicates that the United States is regaining its position as the global center for Crypto Assets, marking a dramatic turnaround in the Biden administration's war on the industry, which had previously forced Crypto Assets companies to consider moving overseas.
"At Trump's dinner, some supporters told me that because of the Biden administration's (measures), they were previously considering leaving the United States to move to places like Hong Kong or Singapore," Sun Yuchen said, "even Consensus has started to hold events outside the United States."
"But now they have changed their minds. This (Trump's support position) brings everyone back to America," he continued.
Mainstream media has fiercely criticized Trump's decision to launch a Meme coin, including attempts to associate the token holders with white supremacy.
Sun Yuchen refuted these criticisms but emphasized that critics have every right to express their views under the First Amendment.
In addition, during the fireside chat at the 2025 Consensus Conference, Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy ( described Meme coins as essentially "gambling" and questioned whether they can exist for a long time.
"I understand why people like it," Portnoy said, "it's a gamble, a Ponzi scheme. I don't mean that in a derogatory way."
Sun Yuchen expressed his disagreement, believing that Meme coins are not gambling or Ponzi schemes, but are positioned as a legitimate part of the digital asset market. He pointed out that tokens like Dogecoin )DOGE( and SHIB are successful cases that help users join the Crypto Assets field. "I completely believe that Meme coins have their value, it's just like doing business. Some succeed, while others go to zero. That's the entrepreneurial spirit."
