Model investasi portofolio terbuka BlackRock $150 miliar 'ETF Spot BTC'! Pembelian institusi akan mendorong kenaikan baru?

BlackRock, the world's largest asset management company managing $11.5 trillion in assets, recently decided to add the BTC Spot ETF to its $150 billion model investment portfolio product, allowing this investment alternative asset portfolio to allocate 1%-2% of funds to its own BTC Spot ETF 'IBIT,' potentially creating new demand for the ETF. According to Bloomberg, BlackRock's investment outlook shows that BlackRock is allowing the BTC Spot ETF to be added to its $150 billion model investment portfolio product, with the portfolio able to allocate 1% to 2% of funds to its own $48 billion BTC Spot ETF 'IBIT.' Although this only accounts for a small part of BlackRock's entire model investment portfolio business, this move, during a period of low market sentiment, opens up a potential new demand channel for IBIT. The model investment portfolio packages various types of investment portfolios into ready-made strategies to sell to financial advisors, a rapidly growing trend in recent years, where portfolio adjustments may result in significant inflows or outflows of funds. BlackRock's Chief Portfolio Manager for ETF Model Investment Portfolios, Michael Gates, stated: 'We believe that BTC has long-term investment value and may provide a unique, risk-diversifying source for portfolios. The high volatility of BTC is a core reason why BlackRock sets its investment allocation between 1% and 2%. In a report in December 2023, BlackRock's investment research institution pointed out that exceeding this allocation would significantly increase the risk proportion of BTC in the overall investment portfolio. IBIT is expected to attract more demand. IBIT, listed in January 2024, has become one of the most successful ETFs in history, attracting over $37 billion in inflows last year. Despite cooling market demand in recent weeks, with net outflows of $900 million, BlackRock indicates that demand from financial advisors for BTC allocations in model investment portfolios remains strong. Eve Cout, Head of Portfolio Design and Solutions for BlackRock's U.S. Wealth Management Investments, stated that investors generally want to increase their allocation to alternative assets but require guidance on determining scale, expanding investments, and rebalancing.
