EIGEN displays resilience as Eigen Labs unveils EigenCloud to enrich blockchain verifiability

Crypto projects continue to build as digital assets ignore the Iran-Israel war, with Bitcoin holding above $105K.

Eigen Labs confirmed releasing the EigenCloud platform, designed to bring blockchain-grade verifiability to any off or on-chain applications.

The launch comes after almost a year of development and research, and it aims to solve one of the top challenges in the crypto arena – making trust programmable and verifiable at scale.

The native EIGEN coin powers the new platform. EigenCloud incorporates high-end developer tools, including EigenVerify, EigenCompute, and EigenDA. These will empower developers to create functional and provably correct applications.

According to Eigen Labs CEO Sreeram Kannan:

EigenCloud expands the programmability of crypto and makes virtually anything verifiable on-chain. It opens up the opportunity for developers to build highly ambitious products like disintermediated digital marketplaces, on-chain insurance, fully on-chain games, automated adjudication, powerful prediction markets, and verifiable AI.

Eigen Labs’ native token, EIGEN, remained elevated following the announcement.

It rallied more than 2% in the past day as top altcoins like XRP, SOL, and ADA lost up to 4%.

a16z bets $70M to accelerate the verifiable infrastructure

Meanwhile, EigenCloud’s alphas version goes live this week and coincides with a16z crypto buying EIGEN tokens worth $70 million.

The massive purchase follows the company’s $100 million investment in early 2024, raising approximately $253 million in total.

The massive funding reflects unwavering confidence in Eigen Labs.
